Take Your Summer Pleats Into Autumn

Whilst the golden hour turns into a golden season, many of us are now wondering how to hook onto our pleats to stay a little longer before they’re tucked away until the next Summer. For those who’ve been following my look books, you might of caught on I am a big lover of loose pants, pleats, basically the luxe comfy style that upgrades your wardrobe from 0-100.

Autumn should just be called awkward. It’s that season where you don’t want to bring out your Winter coat in case the sun decides to say hello, likewise you don’t want to tag along your leather jacket in case it rains downs cats an dog. One thing you can for sure rely on is a classic pleats and jumper to snug into to keep you comfy AF.

I completely feel like a new woman when I can express versatility at its finest; and this is when I can extend the life out of my summer pleated skirts. As the temperatures draw down, I love to dress down my statement pleats with a funky chunky jumper. The skirt sported for this look has a story of its own, literally. With Chinese huts printed complimenting the vibrate tones, the skirt brightens any look when married with a solid coloured top/jumper this Autumn. With a strict a-line shape, the pleats drop heavy down to keep the lines vivid.

Now, I don’t know about you guys but I am extremely picky with my knitwear. Having sensitive skin, my worst fear is when my knits become rough after a couple of washes. HOWEVER, AW17 at Pull and Bear have introduced knitwear to knock you right out the park. This feminine blush colour jumper brings all versatility to the plate, for real. You can trend this jumper with the V-neck side, or even switch it back to front for a sassier look with a U shape cut.

As with any looks; if you get the base right, your extras fit in.  When wearing this statement skirt , I like to keep things pretty clean, however take this outfit into the late evenings with a classic pair of sandal heels and a killer black clutch- still allowing all attention of the pleated skirt.
